Welcome

Welcome to Cooking For Fun! We believe that cooking is becoming a lost art and we are on a mission to bring it back - and to make it FUN! Everyone is so busy with their lives these days it seems that cooking has been put on the “back burner”. The kitchen is a great place for people to connect and work together while learning about each other and accomplishing a common goal. If you are looking for something to do that is different from anything else in the area, you came to the right place. We cater to all ages and offer many different ways to cook, so please take a look at the rest of our site and let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

The idea for Cooking For Fun! came about when we started to hear more and more from others saying how their lives are becoming so busy that they don’t have the time to make anything homemade anymore. We realized that the art of cooking and passing priceless traditions on to children was getting lost. We are hoping to capture the art of cooking as well as the great things that go along with it and pass it on to our students – whether they are just learning or even if they are pretty well seasoned. We provide hands on cooking that will incorporate learning about food and nutrition as well as allowing students to work together and accomplish a common goal while having FUN!

Just a few reasons for children to learn to cook:
  • Teaches lifetime skills such as reading, math, science, problem solving, socialization, task completion and creativity
  • They learn about nutrition and making healthy choices
  • Learn about safety and sanitation
  • It boosts their self confidence – they accomplish a task
  • It creates bonding time – children will learn things they can pass on to others
  • Children are more willing to eat what they make.
  • They contribute to the family – and feel the importance of helping.
  • They become team players
  • Teaches children to plan ahead
  • Allows them to be creative and use their imagination
  • Children learn about other cultures and cuisines
  • They will have the most FUN they’ve ever had while developing skills that will last a LIFETIME
